Nifty unlicensed Star Wars Zinnfiguren!

To kick off 2025 I wanted to share a cool set of figures I came across. Check these out:

These are tin figures produced by Zinnfiguren-Rieger out of Germany. I heard about them from Facebook last October. The website is charmingly quaint, and they offer around 50 different Star Wars designs from the Original and Prequel Trilogies.

As you see they are 2-sided metal figures. The detail on the designs is quite nice. I ordered about a dozen of them to give as gifts to some local character focus collectors for Christmas. And boy was I happy with them when they arrived. So cool!

But what really thrills me is the order page (which you can visit at https://www.zinnfiguren-rieger.de/warenkorb/frame1.php). Once you click "Science Fiction" on the left you'll see their catalog. And they're all just these fantastic little pencil sketches of the characters:

I find it so cool that some dude in Germany (probably 20 years ago) decided he wanted to make some Star Wars figures, so he just went ahead and drew them up and made them. As an added bonus, they're really inexpensive. Most are €2, with the large ones with beasts running from €3-€9. Shipping for my order was €17. Here's a pic of them next to a Kenner figure to give you an idea of scale:

Ordering was not automated - I submitted my order then received an invoice that I paid via PayPal. But it was straightforward and the communications were pleasant.
