Droids Custom R5-D4 - Inked!

I sat down Sunday afternoon and inked the entirety of my Droids R5-D4 in just a couple hours, with just a few short breaks. The one change I made from last week's pencils was that I made his left foot bigger. After looking at the pencils for a bit, I realized the front edge of the right foot was significantly wider than the front edge of the left. And with the left being closer to the viewer, that was a bad error. So I measured it out and fixed it. Now it doesn't look wrong. I remembered to take an in-progress shot during my first break:

I cracked open a new bottle of ink for this one, after not realizing I'd knocked over the old one on my table a month back and having it leak all over the place. I was really happy with the flow of this fresh bottle! You probably don't recall, but 2 or 3 customs back I was having real problems with the ink, and only solved those after watering it down. It was night and day! I didn't have any idea how a brand new pot would handle... and was pleasantly surprised. I just gotta remember when this one starts to dry out to make sure I water it immediately after problems arise.

Break over, I knocked out the rest of the thing. And it really turned out fantastic!

There a lot of moving pieces with this one. I'm still trying to track down a few more loose R5's to strip and paint. I need to cast the coins. The bubbles are on their way now from the UK. So I'm not sure what I'll be doing over the next week. But whatever it ends up being, I'll share it here.
