Finally! A Celebration in my home town!! No need to book flights or hotel rooms this time, but considering we were going to be getting home so late and up so early each day, I opted to crash on Barry's parents' couch for the duration of the con.

Got to his house @ 7 am, we stopped at a local McDonald's for breakfast, then headed downtown. The event didn't open until 1:00 today, so we had lots of time. Got to McCormick Place, found parking right in their garage, headed in and waited in line. I had entered the Hasbro, Funko, & Lego lotteries and won "0" of them. The only panel lottery I entered was for the "Episode IX" panel and lost out on that too.

When they finally let us onto the show floor, I stopped by Regal Robot to say "hi" to Tom Spina, and also swung by the "Geeki Tiki" booth to say "hi" to Brandon. Stopped by Bill's booth to chat with him for a few, and also hung out at the Swag crew booth to re-connect with my good friend Chris. Then it was off to artist alley to get the one print I had ordered from there.

I had 2 autographs at 2:00; Katy Kartwheel & Cat Taber, then a third autograph from Ian McElhinney at 2:10. Got Miss Taber done (she signed my "Knights of the Old Republic" game for XBOX), then headed to Miss Cartwheels line, but that one was moving soooooooo slowly. So I went to get Ian's signature on my "Rogue One" poster instead. My autographs with Matt Denton, Lee Towersey, & Josh Lee were at 2:40, so I got them to sign my "The Last Jedi" poster, then headed to the photo-op area for my 3:20 pic with Hermione Corfield. After that was done, I headed back to Katy Kartwheel's line and finally got my "Solo" poster signed @ 4 pm.

My next photo-op was w/Ian McElhinney at 5:00, followed by my Cat Taber photo-op at 5:30. Last but certainly not least was my autograph with Janina Gavankar at 6:00, I had her sign my "Inferno Squad" Lego set.

The show floor was closing at 8 today, so I still had time to find Matt Busch's & Russell Walks respective booths & pick up the artwork I had pre-ordered from them. Then headed off to "Geeki Tiki" to pre-order the mini-muglet set. Last stop was Joe Corroney's booth to pick up the 4-pack of prints he had at the con. (1 each of Rey, Finn, Phasma, & Kylo Ren)

After leaving MP, we headed to the Museum of Science and Industry for the 501st bash. Even though all the exhibits were open, we grabbed some food, sat for a bit, then headed home. We were beat from the long first day, and knew we had 4 more coming up that would be even busier.
