Hasbro answers more Cantina queries!

A few weeks ago Hasbro proved themselves game to our unique probes... answering our unorthodox questions with flair and gusto! Since they were nice enough to replay, we felt it was our responsibility to give them another shot at some humorous Qs and As.

But we don't want to hog all the fun! Perhaps you have your own questions... questions that perhaps you submitted to other web sites who were afraid to forward them along... well, you can see we have no such scruples! Send them to us and we'll make Hasbro answer! Mail your Cantina-style questions to hasbro@creaturecantina.com.

Now for the questions...

CreatureCantina.com: On a scale of one to ten, how pissed are you that the same people who wasted thousands of good VTSC Biker Scouts to customise some 41st Elite Brigade figures are now complaining bitterly for you doing exactly the same thing, only for cheaper?

Hasbro: The fans were thinking the same thing we were when we saw the potential for reuse. We hope that fans appreciate both versions. Vintage always features the debut of 100% new super-articulated figures which does cost a premium. Over time, we have re-used the figures again, and we were glad to be able to use this one like we did.

CC: Bearing in mind that I will send you a roadkill skunk in the mail every time you answer a collector's question "Wait and see," what is your planned lineup for 2008?

H: Dear reader: Rather than be the recipient of a roadkill skunk, we elected to tell Bill the planned lineup for 2008. We regret to inform you for contractual reasons, the local 501st garrison was immediately dispatched to retrieve the plans. His place is now being taken by Bill 2 until we can implement a mindwipe and return him back to routine service. End of transmission.

CC: Now that Sideshow has the license for 1/6th scale action figures, I'll bet your large doll designers need something new to do. I have a suggestion... 1/1 scale action figures! You could start with... I don't know... let's say... Padme in "Fireside Gown." I mean... from a practical standpoint, Natalie Portman is a tiny little waif of a girl, so you'd be starting out with a figure where the materials needed would be significantly less than most options. In terms of soft goods there'd be virtually no design work, since the life-sized gown already exists. So all you're really need to work on is sculpting a perfectly to scale, life-sized Natalie Portman. While she wouldn't necessarily need to be anatomically correct... you could make her skin out of that same stuff Stretch Armstrong is made from so it'll be soft and... supple...

What collector wouldn't want that in their collection? I predict the best selling figure of all time!!

H: We couldn't come up with just one answer for this, so for the first time in Q&A history you get your choice of two:

  1. You had us seriously considering this until you brought up the Fireside Gown. I mean, obviously her Naboo Pilot outfit would be a much more useful all-around outfit.
  2. We have actually started this project several times, but have gotten.... distracted... and left it unfinished.
