Wizardworld Chicago in a nutshell

Alright, here it is! My official report of WW Chicago (at least the Sunday part of it). As I'm sure all of us have CVI on the brains and don't want to think of anything else, so I'll try to keep this short and sweet.

I MET LAURA VANDERVOORT!!!!!!! WHOO HOO! YEAH BABY!! OH YEAH!!! I'M SITH-SEXY AND I KNOW IT!!!! She was as sweet as could be and I'm already hoping she'll come back again next year. The only down side was I found out the VIP badge only got you 1 autograph as opposed to 2 last year w/Julie Benz. But it was still worth it. I was bumped to the front of the autograph line. (there was only 1 person in front of me, so that really was no big deal.) Got the WW Chicago exclusive L.V. Poster signed, and was on my way. Was waaaaay too nervous to try and carry on a conversation. Just told her I was sorry “V” got canceled and asked if she had any upcoming projects. She said she had a movie coming out this Christmas, so I've got something to look forward to.

I also bought the Bom Vimdin figure at the show for $15, the Cantina figure pack w/Dr. Evazan, Ponda Baba, and Obi-Wan for $8.00. A replica necklace of the one Anakin gave to Padme in “TPM” for $15.00, and about 6 SW-related art prints for varied prices.

When it came time for the photo-op with Miss V, I got in line @ a half hour before her scheduled time and there were already 4 people in line. But as I had VIP status, I was bumped to 2nd (the guy in front of me had it too) and we got to go in first. I got to put my arm around her!!!! Again, didn't have time to chat as the nest person was already being ushered in, but I wouldn't trade the time for anything. An hour later, our pics were put out on the table (compared to 6 hours from last year), I grabbed mine and headed for the exit. Would have loved to spend more $$$, but with CVI looming so close, every dollar spent in Chicago is a dollar I can't spend in Orlando.

So to wrap it up, had a great time and am already looking forward to next year’s show, but first...CVI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
